YAHLI TOREN is one of the foremost vocalists in Israel. Her repertoire covers a wide range of musical styles and genres, from early baroque music through contemporary and the avant-guard, as well as middle-Eastern and Judeo-Spanish folk traditions. As a composer, she frequently and successfully performs her own songs in concerts and festivals. A graduate of the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem and the Universit?t der K?nste in Berlin, she studied with leading teachers such as Agnes Massini, Mira Zakai, Miriam Meltzer and Anke Eggers.

Ms. Toren has performed as soloist with several major orchestras and appeared on radio and TV broadcasts in Israel and Europe. Her Ladino songs recitals with saxophonist Tobias R?ger received critical acclaim in Portugal, Germany, England, and Israel. The show was broadcast on the national Portuguese TV and was later recorded on a CD. Ms. Toren appears regularly with the Musica Nova Ensemble for contemporary music as well as various theatres in Israel.

Yahli Toren is a well sought-after teacher.
