Sandor Szilvagyi was born in Budapest in 1964. He started his musical studies with Ede Roth in Budapest, and graduated his concert diploma by o.Prof. Walther Werdinger in the Music Academy in Wien, in 1997. Since 1996 till nowadays he is professor at the Bela Bartok Consevatory in Budapest. He plays solo concerts, chamber music and gives master courses regularly all over Hungary and abroad - Bath, Berlin, Beograd, Budapest, Bratislava, Delhi, Esztergom, Vienna, Zagreb, etc. In 2002 he has been awarded "Artisjus Award", and in 2004 - the "Franz Liszt Award", the highest award for musicians in Hungary.
